Highiron,

I don't know if it is just me, but the Walthers trucks I encountered on the C-30 Cabooses were some of the worst I have seen in a while. I superdetailed three cabooses and the axles were too small for the sideframes on all of the trucks.. Lots of slop from side to side in the frames. It is a rare that a currently mass produced truck has so much slop that it will pick a point (now white metal kits... that's another story) They are slated to be replaced as soon as I get around to buying some C-30 replacement trucks. I am a "layout slave" right now trying to get something running, so it is not at the top of the list.

Lest I give the wrong impression, the C-30 wood cabooses look great when you add all the details, railings etc. There is a trick to fitting the end ladder assembly on the car, but otherwise they are a good alternative for those of us who need reasonably accurate SP cabooses without going to brass. I will buy more in the future...I wi***hey would fix the trucks.

RE P2K: They are great, inexpensive, free rolling trucks. I have replaced most of my problem trucks on other cars with P2k trucks and they sure do work well.
