Hallmark Caboose

The June MR arrived today and the announcement of Hallmark's new N scale DM&IR Yellowstone and caboose kind of jumped off the page at me (pp 8-9). (I've always been a fan of Yellowstones.) Then I noticed the prices: $1,095 for the set (a Yellowstone and caboose) and $129.50 for the caboose alone! [:O] [wow]

Maybe it's none of this HO modelers business but $100+ for an N-scale caboose just about floored me. If anyone out there is going to jump on this deal, please let me know. I can get you some prime beach front property in West Texas for a song (lots of beach; just a little short on ocean).

Chuck,

I'm pretty sure the 2-8-8-4 and the caboose are brass. That's why they're so expensive.
