Nscale Model Power Mikado compared to Nscale Model Power Pacific

I just wondered if anyone had experience with both of these engines. I have the Pacific and it pulls more than twice as much as my Berkshire. I was wondering how the Mike compared to the Pacific. Just for curiosity's sake, I ran the Pacific with the Berk. They did well together. I understand that C&O ran Mikados and Berkshires (Kanawhas) together. If the MP Mikado runs as well with my Berkshire as the Pacifc did, then my problem of the very smooth but pathetically pulling Berkshire is solved. A Pacific doesn't go with a coal or freight train.

The Mikes are almost exactly the same as the Pacifics: same motor, same boiler, same gearbox. That said, they should pull about the same, but the Pacific should be a little faster, considering it has larger drivers.

C&O Berkshires pulled passenger trains as well as freights, so you can run the two engines you've got together. And don't say that Pacifics didn't pull freights: the4 IC had almost 100 of them that did nothing but pull freights on branches, and I'll bet that every other single road that had more than two Pacifics used a few to lug boxcars from time to time (the NKP use them on mine runs on the W&LE division, for the few months they had left before retirement & scrapping)

Thanks for the information. What is 4 IC? I'll have to look into the C&O and B&O histories a little more. When I looked up Pacifics in the books B&O Power and C&O Power, they were only shown with passenger trains. Of course the pictures in both books are not going to show everything. I don't remember them mentioning using Pacifics for freight but they might have and I don't expect two books to be all inclusive. I guess we are lucky to have this forum. Thanks again!
