Well, she was built during the War years in Pine Bluff Arkansas, her territory included the old Cotton Belt Railroad. It was run regular in railfan trips until the need to restore her came up. The shop is engaged in (as of April 2003) testing each and every tube in that boiler. Firebrick in sufficient quanity was made availible to redo that box 5 or so more times into the future.

The wheels, cylinder and rods are in good shape. It is hoped to run the engine again in the future, there is alot of talk and hearsay going around that the UP which controls most of the trackage in the area may not allow the engine to be run, but what can I say it's way over my head.

Perhaps another person who is on these forums with a closer access to the engine can tell us more with updated information.
