How many guys log onto this forum while at work or School?

I do sometimes at school. All I do is ask the teacher if I can look up something or type something up on the computer. The student computers are out of everyone's view so I can check up every now and again.

I log onto this forum from work... sometimes a lot, sometimes just a little.

I spend my entire day in front of a computer screen. A considerable portion of my time is spent writing and running SQL queries. If a query has quite a few joins and is going against large tables, it can take 10-15 minutes for a query to complete. You have to do SOMETHING while waiting for it, right?

The only thing we really need to worry about at work is connecting to a porn site. If they ever find someone doing that they are gone. Take it from me, a guy working in an IT department. The administrators of your servers can find out EVERYWHERE you've been if they ever bother looking. For the most part they don't look. They would get nothing else done if they were chasing after where 200 different users had been every day. But if they ever have reason to be suspicious, they can easily find out everything you do.

My work requires me at times to be there strictly on "stand-by", just in case something should go wrong. This is usually at night or on weekends, so obviously my time is spent at the computer mostly here or e-bay

I'll find a break, during the day and check out the forums at work or at school. But, only when I'm not busy with another project.

Like DSPA77, I'm self employed. It's either frantic or slow in the office. When it's slow I'm either on the computer or working on new marketing plans. The office is my only access to high speed internet. Gotta have it since we do are our quoting and submitting on line. Obviously it's slow today and I'm not working on marketing.

I just won a contract to teach undergrad psych courses to military officers through the Royal Military College of Canada. It will be done through their continuing ed. program, most of which is online. So, while I monitor discussion groups, like this one, I will occasionally be able to catch up in this forum. Yay, my addiction is fueled.

Im 13 and ,well my school has wi fi, and so does my laptop, so during my study halls, ill give help where i can and ask when i need to, not to say, i havent been caught, but the teachers think its a good hobby and always let me off the hook, who knew, i got to procrastinate, AND have fun, DURING SCHOOL!

I log in to read at work, mostly. Seldom post during work though(like now). I'm a state gov't employee and our computer work can be monitored. They kind of frown on using taxpayer funded equipment for personal use.

I'm currently self employed, but viewed this forum at work for a couple years.

I tend to try to live by the standard of knowing that anyone could figure out where I've been on the internet (IT guys), what I've spent money on (credit card companies), where I've been physically (video surveillance cameras). I saw a thing on TV once that said the average person in a big city like New York City is captured on 75 cameras per day or something like that.

So, worst case scenario, someone would find out that I spent some time on a MRR forum. I figured it was ok, considering I'd see my boss on motocross sites (2 jobs ago), and see my most recent boss on Mountain Biking sites.

Another cool thing about this forum when I was at an office was the lack of pictures - not like the mountain biking sites I'd see my old boss on, where it was very obvious what he was doing. This site could very well look like an engineering message board!

My job in IT support has me behind a computer about 99% of the time so I have many opportunities to access the MR forum while at work. Most of my replies during the week are posted from work, and those on the weekend are posted from home. I do also access the MR site at home when posting images since those are stored on my home PC.
