N or HO Erie RR Hopper Decals ???
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, September 2, 2002 7:41 PM
I recently tried to locate some Erie RR Decals.
I wanted to model a Erie 4-Bay offset sided hopper, which I saw a picture of, sitting in the yard, in Jim Thorpe, in the book "Anthracite Country Color" (page 11).
After a lengthy search without success, I pieced
some decals together from misc. decal sets.
However, the Erie Diamond Logo with long thin
letters inside escapes me. In the interim, I
made a stencil from masking tape and placed
letters in from a Lehigh Valley Diesel Number
Board Set (white on black background). The results
were okay, but I'm not satisfied. Most "Jedi"
N-Scalers are serious modelers and want perfection. Any direction toward a source from
the modeling community would be greatly appreciated.
One side note... I left the Forum for 8 months
due to a job situation. I'm hoping, after logging
in for the first time since, that there are no
serious arguments here between N & HO people.
We need one another for help. This hobby has
helped me through some tough times and I need it
now more than ever.
Thanks,
