All bachmann is great!!! ( well they could do a little better on some of...yes just some of...their rolling stock ) Bachmann made my first model train ( 6 years ago ) it was a standard line set, and it is still going strong. dosn't have the fine details on the standard line stuff ( but much more durable ) I have a spectrum...finist thing I ever bought. JPM335, I dont think you can go wrong with Bachmann, and if somthing does happen, I have heard that thier repair department is excelent. gtirr, I would like to see you post what you just said on the Bachmann Message Board.
