Since it's Easter & most likely the LHS isn't open & when i was there yesterday, I don't think he had what I wanted & it might take him alittle longer to get something. Figure I would do some online stuff.. Looking for curved turnouts..
what does anyone recommend?
any new online spots to go try?
thanks
HAPPY EASTER~~~[}:)]

Toy Train Heaven (www.toytrainheaven.com) in Pennsylvania has always done well with me. I'd say the same for Standard Hobby (www.standardhobby.com).
I don't think you can order online from Toy Train Heaven, though.

Hi Mike,
Happy Easter to you also!
I've done quite a bit of business with www.hobbylandinc.com in Indiana. Doug is very helpful and the prices are similar to many of the larger mail-order outfits. He has Walther's track, including curved turnouts.
When a Proto 2000 item I was looking for was sold out at most on-line stores and hobby shops, Doug was able to get me what I was looking for. Great Service!
Hope this helps.

Mike, try http://www.cvmw.com/cvt/index.htm and do it yourself. [:D]
they only supply up to code 83 rail, but you could buy Micro Engineering code 100 rail and use that instead, or if you want to keep it cheap, just take the rails off a strip of flex track.

If you are looking for a Code 100 curved turnout, I found some at Klein's (here's the link): http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/manufacturer/pecoho.html
Don't know exactly what radius you're looking for though, hope this helps...

Watch the shipping rates, I argued with a seller who wanted $22.50 to ship a caboose,USPS, he finally relented with $12.00 (still far too high) How can shipping cost more than 3 times the product??

www.trainworld.com and www.discounttrainsonline.com These are the best 2 in my opinion. Don't know if they will have what you are looking for as they deal mostly in rolling stock but its worth a look

I've had good luck with internettrains.com, 1stplacehobbies.com and manhattantrains.com. I've also had excellent service from Cherry Creek Hobby (don't know the URL).
If you ain't having fun, you're not doing it right and if you are having fun, don't let anyone tell you you're doing it wrong.
