Which part of the Construction Process do you "Not Like" (Ok I'd rather milk a rabid cow)?

ROOM PREP.

I want to start at the laying track stage...and go from there!

I voted "other". It always happens, I crawl my fat butt under the layout and start wiring, or i'm up to my elbows trying to smooth quick drying plaster, or detailing something and the d*** phone rings and it's ALWAYS my wife's family member (she got big family). So i don't answer no more and suffer the wifely consequences.

Ah yes, my first choice if it had been on the list. Unfortunately, I don't like the dismal basement either. I have resigned myself to clearing out the basement and putting in walls, sheetrock, floor, ceiling, etc., but I'm not looking forward to it. I've done basements in my first two houses so I know what I'm getting into. But the reward at the end is about 750 sq ft for a layout vs the spare bedroom I'll be using in the meantime.

I put fixing mistakes. I guess the easy way to fix this problem would be to be careful when building so as not to have problems. Though problems always arise.

A few weeks ago, I decided against EVER getting myself involved in "polls" that appear on these forums ...... Why? Because so many simply are silly - make no sense - and are polls for the sake of polls - in a word, "inane." Okay, so why am I "here"? Because the guy asking the question has credibility as far as I'm concerned, so I voted!

Of the choices offered, I found that there are aspects of this hobby that I have yet to experience - so for me at nearly 67 - there's still much to do! Sometimes what I like causes me grief (some of us suffer the pains of this or that ........ eyes don't focus, fingers don't work right, etc.....) - but I still like what I'm doing. Some things I don't like have turned out so well, that I now like it. Example: landscaping. I'm far from being an expert, but it's nice to create a scene or two ....... especially something that you can relate to.

By the way, how does one go about milking a rabid cow (other than carefully!)?[swg]
