 Currently using Lionel "O" gauge tubular, for my annual Christmas layouts. It can take a beating/kicking and still not get damaged, but I'm considering a permanent loop of track around the parimeter of my sitting room (Living room), up high-- up close to the ceiling, mounted on 6 inch wide painted plywood. If this project ever gets off the ground (pun intended), I'll be using Atlas "O" gauge Steel track. CTT mag recently reviewed 9 types of track a few months ago, and the results for traction, electrical, magnetraction etc. seemed to all fall towards Atlas Steel being the best choice for me. Now if I can only get up the motivation & money to build it.... LOL
