Airbrushing Model Flex Paint

Got a few questions, need a few responses.
I started airbrushing with model flex paints and was wondering if I should thin out these paints( and what ratio). Also what PSI should I be airbrushing with? Anyone know of any really good website with info on how to weather engines and cars with an airbrush. any help would be appreciated. I am using a Badger Model 150 dual-action airbrush with either a fine or medium tip. Post it or E-mail it

Hi James,
it looks like we have a few things in common. I received an Badger 150 airbrush on my birthday a few years back. I just bought an air compressor, so I'm just about ready to give it a shot myself! (with the model flex paints). Check out the Badger website, it has alot of helpfull information http://www.badger-airbrush.com/modelflex.htm . My airbrush came with a few manuals and helpfull tips on using the airbrush. Kalmbach publishing has books and a video on 'airbrush painting'. (Take a look in the Model railroader 4/05, page 106). Hi Guys,

ModelFlex is already thinned and ready to spray, right out of the bottle.

If you're spraying with a good quality brush, try 25 to 30 p.s.i.

i also use a badger air brush and model flex paints....they are already thinned and i have found them to work great....i recommend using distilled water for cleanup of your paint gear....my rolling stock has never looked any better using model flex....
