Remaining MDC-Roundhose Steam Locos Anywhere?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, March 13, 2005 1:31 PM
OK, while I wait for Athearn I would like to know if there are any shops hoarding some of the original MDC stock? Steam, Espee, Harriman, and Vanderbilt are the key words. Wheel configs desired are 4-4-0, 2-8-0, and 4-6-2. The era is late steam. Thanx

There are quite a few on Ebay. I picked up a RTR 2-6-0 last night and I picked up a 4-6-0 Harriman kit a couple weeks ago. Most are new.

Supposedly these are going to continue to be made. Still I'm glad I've got four HOn3 ones. I'm going to convert them into Sn2. So many were made for so long, that I think they will be around for a while even if no more are made. But if you really want a particular one, I'd get it sooner rather later.
Enjoy
