Yvon, looks like you're not having much like in the reply department. Let me see if I can help as I've been doing this for 20+ years in N. I do not know of one central location where you can find the information you need. What is the main reason for wanting to take the loco apart? If it's to add a DCC decoder you can look at various web pages and see if there are any locos listed that you are interested in taking apart. If it's to clean or do a repair I'd still look thru some of the web sites to see how they got the loco apart to add the decoder. That should at least get the shell or boiler removed. From there you can see the internal workings and carefully disassemble the rest of the loco.

If you are talking about steam, you may want to consider one of the N-Trak books that are available that describe Steam locomotives. They have a lot of data in them that may help.

At the very least, most new loco manufacturers put an exploded view of their engien in the box. That should also give you a start on disassembly.

Good Luck,
