Dimmer help!

I have all my structures lit up using a 12-16 volt source. I would like to add some kind of a dimmer to the whole system. Any ideas? I know they sell those dimmers for household uses, but I'm not sure they would work on such a lower scale. [:o)]

Household dimmers are for 120 volt systems only. Hook up your lights to a small cheap power pack on the variable voltage connections and turn down the power. Or wire them in series which will drop the voltage.

This may sound stupid, but what is supplying power to the 12 volt source? If it is 120 volts from the wall outlet, put the dimmer in the line feeding the power supply. This will get you the same result, as long as all the lights are to be at the same voltage. If you were thinking of having some on a dimmer and some not, this would not work. Good luck.
Good Luck, Morpar
