I am looking for some info on some photos of troop trains during WW2. In particular, photos of sherman tanks being transported. If anyone has a resource they can recomend or some photos to share i would appreciate it.

I would imagine troop trains were to carry miltary personnel around. Miltary trains or trains with military equipment would not be the same.
Do a Google Image search on WWII military trains as a start.

Use advanced search and look for posts written by me, there is a recent link I posted to the National Archive's 13 minute video from actual troop trains somewhere in one of my posts.
I will look for it and post it here after I return from church tonight.

There is a book specifically on WWII military trains, "Steel Rails to Victory" by Ron Ziel. It would be worth checking.
I have photos of my father standing in the doorway of a four wheel boxcar lettered "PR" (for "Palestine Railways") some time during 1941 while he was there with the Australian Army, but I'm sure that's not what you want.

Here is the link:

You want the MPEG4 from the editable download section it is about 220 megabytes in size. That will run you about 25 minutes on fast DSL (3 meg down)
The video is about 13 minutes long. In it you will notice SEVERAL trains used to haul this unit.
Enjoy.. P.S. will the real finder of this video step up? This turned up on the MR forums about a year ago and the Moderators should consider a sticky of this one.
