[/quote] Cacole Your quote is right on since no comparison can be made unless you would be able to have both models and run both to decide the best. The pictures clearly show the Athearn the best in detail since I have seen both of them at a show, and the Athearn are close to my Key models in overall detail. I do own the Lionel and have some ot the Athearn on reservation, but they need to be compared side by side to know which one is best for the person that is buying it.
