QUOTE: Originally posted by darth9x9

I emailed Teffy earlier this month and I haven't heard back from him. I know he is making his trip to Maine to see the fall colors. Maybe he'll stop by the train show on the way back. www.gsmts.com
Bill [8D]

I memtioned this to Bob today. He said to tell you that he did get your info and links. He also said to tell you that the info and links were a B I G help in his trip planning. He was and is very appreciate of your help. He stated he meant to reply to your email but got sidetracked. I for one can definately relate to that.

He won't be at the train show as the dates of the show and when he is in your state don't coincide. Boy can I relate to that one too.

When I spoke to him he was in Detroit at the Ford Museum. He was very impressed with everything there. He said they had everything, including cars, trucks, planes and TRAINS. [:D] If I remember right didn't Henry Ford own a railroad or controlling interest in one? But anyway, he said one of the locos was a steamer with the wheel arrangement of 2 - 6 - 6 - 6. He said there were other engines and railcars there too. He is having a good time.

I am not sure if they spent the night in Detroit or not. I talked to him about 2:30 pm my time which is central time. I am not sure if Detroit is central or pacific time. Personally I would have stayed there tonight and started fre***uesday morning. But remember Bob is a retired bus driver so who knows. But what counts is he is having a good time and will get to meet some other forum members who probally are as nice as Jim [:D] [;)] [:D] . (And let's not forget, get to see and run some model trains. [:p] )
