Good Morning!

The night was pretty bad. I had a terrible pain in my right shoulder, which wouldn´t let me catch the sleep I need. Well, as they say, once you are over 40 ...

We need to get an early start today! At the train station, we will board a train taking us to Bellinzona, where we change trains. The train then will takes us to Airolo and through the old Gotthard tunnel. We will leave this train the moment it has passed through the tunnel at Göschenen, where we will board the Matterhorn Gotthardbahn (MGB) narrow gauge train taking us up the Schöllenen Gorge to Andermatt.

Andermatt is a small town along the former stage coach route over the old Gotthard Pass. During the summer season, the coach trip is available as a tourist attraction.

We won´t stay long in Andermatt, but continue our journey onboard an MGB train to Brig.

The video shows the trip the other way around!

Arrival in Brig will be in the afternoon, so we will spend the rest of the day touring the city and taking a close look at the Stockalper Palace, before we will enjoy a Raclette dinner at one of the lovely restaurants.

Enjoy!
