[/quote] That´s correct - the Hornby switches have a very tight radius, which will turn into a constant source of annoyment if you use them. Paul, may I recommend to get a good primer book, like Kalmbach´s "Getting Started", which you will find in the shop section of this web page? You will find many an answer in those books.
