And maybe all the more reason for Firecrown to let this derelict forum slip beneath the surface for the last time...

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
I was unto the Bah Humbug but I don't know your rational for it.

There you go. True xmas spirt. And they wonder why I say bah humbug.

Just my way of getting ready for the holiday. Like the Grinch, Scrooge, Grandma getting run over by a reindeer. And Rudolph with his red nose.
He wasn't actually born that way. He just spent too much time at santa's bar and grill.
I found out a month or so ago that anyone who signed out of any trains forum wether international or not is now locked out until the new website is fully operational. It's been ridiculously quiet in the Classic Toy Trains, Trains, and Classic Trains universes as well.
Think Christmas!
Same me, different spelling!
Hello diners. Zoe, coffee and a jelly doughnut please.
Maxman-fair enough. It is awfully quiet around here anymore.
Tstage- I'm disappointed in your response. Revival, not elimination, is what we should be going for.
Pennytrains-Love your set-up around the tree!
I just received my first 3-D printed building for the layout. It's a model of the house from "A Christmas Story". I'm hoping to get to building it over the holidays. I'll let you know how it goes.
Cheers everyone!
Mike

And that's why I tried to encourage members to create & post in threads other than the Diner, Mike. If that's all there is to contribute to by the remaining logged-in members then there isn't really much left to be said about the state of the forum.
Give ample reason to Firecrown for why this forum is worth investing money into. That's my point...
Tom
tstageAnd that's why I tried to encourage members to create & post in threads
And I think I attempted to do that with my P-cubed thread.
I do appreciate that there have been 1000+ views to that.
And I remember your thread, maxman. We just need to continue along that same vein; whether they get comments or not.
Tom, I hear what you are saying but I would argue that the state of the forums is due less to people not wanting to participate and more due to those that would like to actively participate being locked out.
I for one wish I had more time for modeling and subsequently posting about it, but other demands for my time dictate otherwise. Those folks that have the time and desire who could post more cannot (generally speaking) as they are locked out. I don't think that's a reason to ax the forum, rather a reason to fix it. My .

I totally agree, Mike. However, the remaining logged in can still keep things going - i.e. as much as they are able.
So you don't presently have time to model. I get that. Are there other ways that you can contribute to stimulate/encourage more posting and threads by others - i.e. apart from the Diner?
Maybe there a lurkers who are still logged in and haven't posted in or visited the forum in a while but don't see much activity or reason to contribute? Just sayin'...
Added 3 photos to project 5 over at my P Cubed - Project Progress Photos thread, should anyone be inclined to take a look see.
This project is now complete except for some last minute shouting.
And I really do appreciate those who have viewed so far, especially those who have refrained from saying that they have seen better looking road-kill.
Madman, the last post I see on that thread is dated 11/18/24. Am I missing something? Is it posted elsewhere?

Thanks! It's Standard Gauge and O Gauge with mostly Plasticville buildings. All 3 rail of course for that nostalgic charm.

Madman? Oi, I think I resemble that remark.
No, not exactly missing anything. I thought that it would be interesting to show projects as they progressed, but I didn't want to increase the number of postings by repeating entire previous posts just to show an added photo to one of the posts.
So, what I've been doing is going back to the original posts and revising them by adding additional photos. And the way that gets done is by editing the original post. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately if someone doesn't care), when a post is edited it doesn't change the original post date.
Therefore as I make changes I've been referencing them by the project number.
Ergo, the latest additions I made today were to project 5, which as you pointed out has an original date of 11/18/24. Anyone who may have been interested in that particular project and had been following along could scroll down until they find project 5, open that particular post, and would find that there were three photos added.
The only reason I started doing this is because Mr. Tstage issued his challenge to post stuff rr hobby related, and I was not really inclined to discuss health issues, death of the forum complaints, and other such things that I can't change or are really none of my personal business.
I do appreciate that some folks are looking at my attempts to keep the doors open.
And if someone wants to post photos of their progress as they go along on one of their projects, they are welcome to join in. Or maybe start a similar thread with a slighty different title.

A web search turned up
at TrainWorld, which claims to work with Legacy and "traditional transformer locomotives."
Maxman, I suggest you reply to your own thread. It makes it easier for us to know when changes have been made. It also makes it easier for those who wish to comment on a specific picture.
I certainly appreciate your efforts to keep this forum active.
