Scale miles per hour - is this formula right?

<p>Let´s see -</p> <p>1 mile equals 5,280 ft.</p> <p>A train travelling at 60mph therefore travels 60 x 5,280 ft = 316,800 ft.</p> <p>1 hour equals 3,600 seconds.</p> <p>316,800ft. / 3,600 seconds equal 88ft./sec.</p> <p>An HO train doing 60 scale mph therefore should travel 1.010333ft/sec.</p> <p>I guess you are correct!</p> <p>[:-^]</p> <p> </p>
