I'm not sure but I now am beginning to think that I've just wasted nearly $80.00 on a scam website. If any of you would be kind enough to let me know about experiences you have had or experiences you know someone else has had with Black Forest Hobby Supply Co. I would be grateful. I bought an Atlas N scale Master series Silver Alco FB1 from them a few days ago and am worried I may have been scammed.Hoping to hear from one of you guys/gals soon.1943Mike
From everything that I can find, it is a legitimate business located in Scottsdale, Arizona with a significant eBay presence. Lots of positive reviews as well. Why do you think that you got scammed?

I was worried that the price was so inexpensive that I might have made a mistake in ordering from them. Since I posted my question earlier today I've received an email from them explaining that they were closed for 1/2 day on Wednesday and, of course, on July 4th, yesterday. The gentleman suggested that my order will probably ship this afternoon.
So, I may have been paranoid based on the low price. I'm sure now it's a legitimate concern.
Thanks for chiming in.
Mike
Mike, keep us posted, so we know how your transaction turns out.
It was a while ago, but I bought a Trix NYC caboose from them a while back. As the name implies, they do a large market in German/European models. IIRC it all went fine, no problems.
Rich,
I should have followed up earlier but, better late than never!
The transaction was just fine. The Atlas FB-1 was just fine so no complaints.
Scam websites do exist but it doesn't sound like this was one of them. About a year ago, I ordered a boat load of stuff from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, or so I thought. The ridiculously low prices should have been the tipoff. I ordered in two bundles, each several hundred dollars, before I came to my senses and began checking them out. I contacted BB&B and they told me it was not their website and they turned the matter over to their security department. It was a scam site operating out of China. I contacted my credit card company and they soon deleted the charges so I wasn't out anything. As the old adage says, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.".

Glad I stumbled on this vendor. Nice to have another option for ordering. It seems legit and quite inexpensive for parts.
