Model Railroaders -
Will the older HO scale passenger cars and freight cars with larger wheel flanges run on code 80 track?

Best answer I can give, which ain't much help, is maybe-maybe not. Depends on how old and brand I would think.

"OLDER"? - How much is older"? How high is UP?
MOST 'deep' flanged HO was from European manufactures, such as Rivarossi'.
Do you have?
RP 22 wheel flanges have been supplied on American made products for 40 years. Exception might 'toy' train market such as Marx.
Code 83 should work for 98% Code 100 - 100%
