Stay in these forums long enough and every bit of information you need can be sought , or read from questions asked by others.

Helped me alot in the past months

In addition to the forum, books, hobby shop, you might check your local library. You may be surprised how many books and videos on the subject they have or can obtain through inter-libaary loan.

I learned alot from the Woodland Scenics video. Like anything else, they make look so easy, so I pacticed on an old piece of plywood.
Being old is when you didn't loose it, it's that you just can't remember where you put it.

Welcome!!!

I'll just agree with everyone above. The Kalmbach books are great. I haven't seen the Kalmbach scenery videos yet, but they look to be very useful. There are great scenery ideas on this forum, the posts are great and many have some great pics of their layouts on the web.

Bottom line. Read as much as you can, get several ideas on how to do the same thing, Try out each and then pic the way you like thebest.

Bottom line - HAVE FUN!
If you ain't having fun, you're not doing it right and if you are having fun, don't let anyone tell you you're doing it wrong.
