Its Taco Tuesday and heard the Train!
Posted by Track fiddler on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 5:49 PM

Yep, heard the Train going outside the building and know right where it was.  It's on that long span, plate gusset bridge going over 494.

Judy told me to have the chicken burger simmering, and cut up the onion, cuz she knew she'd be working late, still barried in the confetti from New Years.

So tonight, it's Taco Tuesday.

Very well could have called you Rick, Rich.  If so, one must apologize here.  Two of my freinds are Rick, alive and still doing well.

So if scatter-brained me called you Rick, Rich, take it as a complement please.  Your one of my Freinds here, and apparently one can't keep his Rick's separate from his Richy's strait anymore,  Ha!

Must be a sign of old age here, but never my intent to offend anyone.

Hope you guys are having a good Taco Tuesday too :)

TF, you can call me anything. I have gone by Rich, Rick, Dick, even Dickey as a kid.

I worked with a group of guys where three of us had the first name of Richard, so we went by Rich, Ric and Dick.

Are we the only two guys who can post on the forum? A fair number of views, but no posts.

Love my Mallet.

My first job was the same way, Rick and Dick were already taken so I became Rick.

I can post, but I couldn't even OPEN any of the posts last night and earlier today (Pacific time).

Evening

Laugh Rich, I'll try to refrain myself from calling you anything, just as long as your called for dinnerLaugh

Ya, it seemed for awhile during the train wreck yesterday, that we were the only ones posting.  It was a bit of a Challenger, and the only way to get something to go through for me, was to start a new thread just to say something.

Don't know what you were doing to get things to work, but apparently you could read what was said by me, but nothing you said could be seen till today, after they fixed the sinking boatLaugh, which drove me a little nuts yesterdayLaugh

A couple of threads were deleted along with the, "We Need to Fix the Ship Captain" thread, among one or two others.  Don't know why?  They seemed harmless enough, but then again silly nonsense, and doesn't really matter anyway.

Yesterday was kinda fun, and I'll catch up with you on the flip flop RichYes

Mike, ...Good to hear from you my Freind, you kind of disappear in the SummertimePirate

That is the straightest row of posts I've seen in years.  I'd like to compliment you on your workBow

Did you use the popsicle green construction line, or the hot pink one?

I'm now thinking of building a fence like that on my model railroad by the saw mill.

Still couldn't help but wonder about the creosote looking "Lincoln Logs", every 6th post.  Perhaps to maintain the longevity of structural strength, and straightness of the fence itself throughout the years.

If you don't mind me asking?  Did you build the fence to keep something in?  Or perhaps, one evening at dusk, you seen something out there that made you feel a little bit uneasy, and built the fence to keep that outLaughLaughLaugh

I'm kinda leaning towards that one then, as it is a rather tall fence MikeWink

PS  I'll never forget laughing so hard at the Eau Claire Train Show.  My late Friend Gary, my Model Railroad Club Host (He was the Best), told me my hair and beard looked exactly the same as the Jack Links Yeti'sLaughLaughLaugh...Pirate

By the way, Bigfoot's name is Dwayne, and just a great guy, for any of you that haven't had the privilege of meeting him yetLaugh

Just a pic of my little MDC 0-6-0. Now whenever i look at it, it reminds me of RR Mel.

This afternoon was the first time I could actually post something in three days.  I could get as far as the opening page, but I could not post anything.

It's good to be back.

The forums would barely load for me for the past few days, so whatever the problem was, it must be fixed now.  Hopefully things keep on working!

I'm Wit Choo Peter.  It's a good thing all the wheels didn't fall off at once, and the ones that did got put back on, to get the ship back up and running again.

TamalesDinner

Although Native American my Judy is, the other half of her family is Mexican.  Her aunt Terry gets up at 5:00 in the morning and spends 10-11 hours making Tamales.

My Judy makes an award winning World Class Wild Rice soup, but she can't duplicate Aunt Terry's Tamales, no matter how hard She tries.

Whenever Aunt Terry invites us, Judy spits out less than half a sentence, before my answer is always YES! LETS GO!

Ya can't quit eating them, and then you roll yourself home like a Stuffed PigLaugh...Whistling

TF, it was good to talk with you yesterday. It would have been a pretty lonely place if I were there all alone. It was definitely a stop and go day on the forum.

Yes, couldn't agree with you more Rich.

Was thinking the whole ball of wax was coming down to a screeching halt here.

They say "Don't Go It Alone" and was glad not to be.  You've always been my Friend here, but you were my Best Friend that day, both of us "Weathering The Storm"Laugh...Wink

Great stuff!  Thanks for the reminder about Taco Tuesday!

Glad the forum's back up and running.

You can't imagine the various ways folks mis-pronounce my name.  I live in Va, so shortened to Lee b/c it's more southern and easier to spell.
