Rubber tires for AHM Tempo engine

Before you call me crazy, I'll refer to an old hint I once read in Model Railroader. Go to you local dentist, and see if he will part with some rubber bands meant for braces. They are about the right size, and while not quite as long lasting as factory replacements, they will do for a stop-gap measure. Of course, you might want to consider re-powering your old AHM locos with an updated drive. I'm not aware of any AHM F-units ever made, you probably have an AHM E-8. I would suggest using a Cannon replacement motor. <br /> Good luck, Todd C.
