IS THERE A WAY TO GET RID OF THE CUMBERSOME KATO SWITCHES. I LIKE THEIR TRACK AND ALL BUT THE SWITCHES TAKE UP TO MUCH ROOM. HAS ANYONE ATTEMPTED TO USE OTHER TYPE SWITCHES? ANY IDEAS WOULD BE APPRICIATED. GEORGE IN NAPA

Do you mean the turnouts or the control switch?
Any momentary-on switch can be used, the Atlas turnout controllers are momentary on.
If you mean the turnouts themselves just add about 2 layers of cork and you can use Peco or Atlas turnouts. Use Peco joiners also they make a very tight unmovable join.
If you need wiring details just reply or email.
