i just added a mountain to my layout. i built the "frame" out of screen from an old door and then covered it with spackle. i know i cant be the only one to have done this. i would like to see some other peoples results. mine turned out good! hope to put pics up soon

Here is a pic from my layout of a mountain I built roughly the same way. Screen wire with plaster soaked paper towels over a cardboard frame.

I make my rocks from spackling also. It cracks up after drying and shaping and looks pretty real
