This one isn't just a model of a wooden car, it is built from a wooden kit. It is an Ambroid model.

Please show me something simular to something you see in this photo. It doesn't have to be the same colour or be a perfect match.

Interesting request.

The suburban station in this photo is of similar size to the one to the right of the previous photo.

Please show something similar to something in my photo.

EDIT: Looks like the other John and I were posting about the same time. Show something similar to something in either photo.

3 replies in less than 10 minutes. Must be an interesting request.

I see a small loco in David's photo. Here's my Plymounth switcher. Looks like it would be right at hom on David's layout.

Show something similar to something you seem in ANY of the five previous posts.

John, I'm very impressed with your photo of the station.  The houses in the background are very realistic.  Great work!

Thank you. I grew up in a house on a hill with retaining walls in the front and that was my inspiration for the scene. Someday, I might try to model my boyhood home but I'll have to either scratchbuild it or become President and then maybe one of the kit makers will come out with one like they've done for Ike and Reagan.

John-NYBW, Really nice scene with the houses in the background. Like your idea of modeling a boyhood home, Michael Paul Smith did that in 1:24   Sewickley on my mind | The town I grew up in is Sewickley, P… | Flickr.webloc

Please show me something similar from what you see in this photo. Regards, Peter

I took the Walthers Paper Mill kit and stretched it out and kitbashed some modulars to make a long background industry.

More industrial scenes with tanks.

More industrial scenes with tanks.

Another unfinished part of the old layout.  Much of this couldn't be saved for the new layout, but I want to put something similar (but finished) on the new layout.

Please show more industrial or chemical plant scenes.

More end of the line, please.

The cork to the right will go through the tunnel to a log unloading bridge on a lake for the lumber mill.

The cork to the left is the (end of the line), ...for now.  It was found that a transition can go under the layout for three to four long rows of future staging.

More end of the line please.

Crabapple Cove in the lake resort town of Willoughby.

Due to some pressing family business, I've been resorting to the archives for pictures to post. Next month I hope to get back down in the train room and start posting new pictures.

Since there are only a few hours left in the month, post anything of your choice.
