Phone number for Bachmann Industries parts ordering?
Posted by TheK4Kid on Monday, November 7, 2022 7:34 PM

I am at my wits end trying to fill out an order form for a Bachmann HO steam engine part.

All I get on Bachmanns website for parts ordering is excuse after excuse, or please try logging in with your email address.

I odered parts once before but they sent the wrong parts. There was no information on the receipt on how to contact them.

What I need is a two prong white plug with 8 inches of black wire for my  Bachmann Sound on Board Berkshire HO "765" Nicklel Plate steam engine.

Or is there somehere else I can obtain this part?

Bachmann parts just seems impossible to order from.

I have filled out the order form at least a dozen times , then get an nerror message, or "please use your email address to log in." I get this same message over and over and over. Very frustrating!

I can not find a phone number on their website so I can call them.

If anyone can help please let me know.Smile

Thanks in advance!

Any time I need something from Bachmann, I simply go to their on-line site and make an easy search for the item I'm seeking.  I've always had good results and polite respnses, too.

Some years ago, I bought a fairly large Bachmann "used" articulated locomotive from a now long-gone hobby shop.  It ran nicely but I didn't need it right away, so I re-boxed it and set it aside.  Several years later, I got it out and tried to run it, with no success.
I disassembled it, and discovered that the front engine's gears had disintegrated, and a quick on-line search revealed that likely the previous owner had used either an oil or grease that was not plastic-compatible.

I contacted Bachmann to see if they had any replacement parts, and at their request, sent both the entire locomotive (and tender) along with a considerable amount (at that time) of money.

A couple weeks later, I got the locomotive and the cash, back, with an apology  that they couldn't repair it.

I later contacted North West Short Line, and they suggested that I send the loco for an assessment for suitable replacement gears, but several months later I was told that nothing suitable was available.
The loco was returned gratis.

I was about to hack it up and make it into 2-6-0 Mogul, but a couple of weeks later, I got a message from Bachmann saying that new replacement gearbox sets, front and rear, were now available.  I ordered two (front and rear) just in case the rear one had, by this time, also rotted away.  It turned out to be okay, so I have a spare rear one now.

My contacts with Bachmann have mostly been successful, and were always cordial.

Like the others here, I've had excellent response using their spare parts web pages, made several orders, and have been more than happy with the results.

Just curious, but why would you think they have a part that's not listed?  Granted, a two-pin connector might be fairly common and found fairly quickly by searching through the spare parts of other locos on their parts site.  Sometimes you have to put a little work into it.

There are plenty of JST connectors on Amazon - just type in, "JST 2-pin connector" and you'll get pages of results.  You can even buy "JST connector kits" that provide everything you need to make up your own.

It sounds like at some point in the past you must have set up an account there, and it wants you to log in before placing the order. To echo what others have said, I've bought parts from Bachmann many times over the years, always with good results.

The phone number is right on the "Service Department Policies and Contact Information" page.

Click on "Parts, Service, & Information" near the top of the website, then click on "Service Dept. Information" instead of "Order Parts".

Edit to add: It's the same phone number you get when you click on "Contact" right on the main page of the Bachmann website. Where there is also an email address for the parts department.
