[quote user="PennCentral99"]His pics show the paint scheme is still standing strong.[/quote] You should see the photos of the Chessie paint shop. Chessie System in Color by Bob Withers pg 13.  It appears they painted the entire locomotive Enchantment Blue, then masked off and painted the orange stripe (dont know the proper name for the color), then they masked the areas where the cat and the Chessie System lettering and numbers on the side go and paint yellow over that (the locomotive is blue from the orange stripe down).  There must be several layers of yellow to cover that blue, which is probably why its held up so well.
