Ed[/quote] I totally agree with you.  The only uses I could see is if you were verifying the dimensions of a model or making a scale drawing working from the model, or if you were checking the dimensions of a detail part.  A HO scale dial caliper is entirely too situational a tool to use for me to spend money on it.
