Thanks for all your kind responses, there are several I would like to respond to at once, So here goes.
QUOTE: Originally posted by krump

This must be way more than a hobby for you Big Sky.
You have that right. [8D] I freely admit that it is an all consuming obsession generating addiction that my parents feel I should seek treatment for. But then again, there is the old standby. "Ye who dies with the most trains wins" [swg]
QUOTE: I think that's great, and if / when you can achieve this goal, it'll be wonderful. Are you considering museum or tourist attraction status ( a money maker, cover costs, or a career ?) for this project, or would it be primarily personal interest...?
This project is purely for personal interest powered by my own grand ambitions to be the owner and builder of the largest model railroad in the world. Perhaps once things are up and running and things are completed to a state of presentation. (Since we all no a model railroad is never finished.) I may consider opening it up for tours. I think it would be a cool Idea to take like a family group. Have one of my regular operators be a conuductor. and everyone else fills in on the rest of the crew and the visiters get to participate in running the model trains under the "conductor's" supervision. But right now This is just for my own interest. Maybe my plans are so big is because of the fact that since I got into the model railroad hobby, All my model railroads have been in the 4X6 foot catagory which at this time my ambitions find woefully inadaquate. (Although I am planning to incorporate my current presently dismantled 4X6 railroad into one of the towns to serve as the right of way to an interchanging road as its track layout is aptly suited to such an endeavor.
The only other though I had, was that it is worthwhile for you to check with local building / business regulations to ensure that the building is properly zoned for your purposes - that shouldn't be a problem, more of a detail concern ...
Your point is duely noted and logged. As a matter of fact that was the first issiue I was told to check when I first heard about this place. However since the town has now grown out and residential housing now surrouinds this lot, I am sure that me converting the building to a private residence (With my living arrangements built down stairs.) will meet little opposistion.
QUOTE: Originally posted by Big_Boy_4005
Turning dreams into reality takes hard work, and lots of money. Best of luck on this. By the way, MINNEAPOLIS. If your trains are going to go there, it helps to spell it right.
I have always wondered how that was spelled. [(-D] But then again, since it is a freelance inturpretation and my Minneapolis will look nothing like its prototype, maybe in this paralell world it may well be spelled Miniapolis is the capital city of the State of Minisoda?[swg]
QUOTE: Originally posted by AntonioFP45

Student,

Compliments to you! Very well thought out.

Your post serves as a very good reference chart for modelers that would like to run trains "prototype style". Basically they could take your post and make minor changes to locomotive and trains consists to fit their own railroads.

Will definetly work for me!

Thanks!
You see! I knew someone would be looking at this post and find something useful! Glad I can be of help. By the way, This type of "scedule" that I made is what is known in model railroad parlace as a Sequence Time-table. Where trains are not beholden to a set scedule but instead are run in a general sequence to achieve a sense of prototype operation.

As an aside, I noticed while reviewing my post that when I was working, I accidently left out one train. It is GN's "Pacific Fast Mail" and shold be placed in sequence # 22 where I currently have listed the "Midwest Auto Train". The Auto Train would then Be moved to the end of the sequence and be sequenced train #25. Followed by two more sceduled freights. But alas all I have left in my locomotive roster is an ABBA set of D&RGW F-units. The Rest of my motive power fleet being yet to be assigned switchers, Interchanging road locomotives, or Single units assigned to branchlines. So any power from here on out aside from the D&RGW F-Units will have to be aquired.

(Note Unless Noted all locomotives presently in my personal loco roster)
