Anybody else getting an error trying to reach the forum?
Posted by crossthedog on Thursday, September 29, 2022 2:21 PM

This is the first time I've been able to access the site since yesterday. My browser keeps timing out with an error. I rebooted, no change. Same on a different computer. I notice nothing has changed in the recent topics, and no new ones. Seems like I'm looking at something cached from yesterday. Anybody else?

Yes, most of yesterday, and tried the last time near midnight PDT.  It was still out, blue error page.

I didn't clear anything, just waited until noon today my time and presto...there it is!

Same here. Cleared my browning history and cookies, still no access to the site, then when I did get here, I had login issues. But for better or worse…

The forum has been accessible. Only logged in users had issues. Opening the site in a new private browsing window without being logged in worked fine.

Hello All,

crossthedog
My browser keeps timing out with an error.

Yeah, I've been experiencing the same thing, specific to the forums pages.

I "Tossed My Cookies" specific to this page, and reset my password.

That seemed to work.

I'm on a desktop Mac.

Hope this helps.

The error message i got said something along the lines of a communications link from telligent systems needs to be reset by site owners. Recent index update was not completed.  I also got the blue error message.   i got it over many browsers.  Firefox flagged the actual data error.

Last night I couldn't access the forum (or cs.trains.com) while using my regular browser (Safari), which is set to login automatically.

However, I found that if I switched to another browser, NOT having auto login, the forum came right up. But I could not log in from that point, either.

Safari (trying and failing to login) noted some kind of problem with java or javascript (which I assume was "on the forum end" of things, not mine).

Something with account login/authentication wasn't working. So, if you weren't logged in, you could access the forum. But one couldn't reply, because that would require login.

Seems to be fixed tonight.

Agreed. For about the last three months, for whatever reason, the last post in a thread would have a blinking cursor on the left side of the entire height of the last reply. Very odd and I couldn't shake it or click away from it.

Also, my "home" key quit working. I like to tap this key and it shoots me up to the top of the page so I could navigate to another page or topic. As of today that function is back Yes

Usually I'm in Chrome but the same things were happening in Edge.

Good to see you, Tom!

Regards, Ed

Been unable to access Forum for two days UK time.

Now back on, (hopefully).
