I used to be a mailman and on a walking route, sometimes it was impossible to keep the mail dry on long, dismal rainy days. Even inside the mailbag with the flap covering it and a vinyl rain cape covering me and the bag, sometimes mail became something resembling a soggy mass of pulp. Large envelopes, newspapers and magazines inside the bag got the worst of it with moisture wicking through the canvas bag. <br /> <br />Of the snow, rain, heat and gloom of night, carrying mail in the rain is what I miss the least. <br /> <br />Wayne
