Good Afternoon!

I woke up this morning to find the world around us covered by 4" of snow. I had to take Petra to the doc´s for having blood samples taken, so I had to dig out the car, de-ice the window and warm it up before we actuayll set off. Took 25 minutes for the 2km!

As Petra still feels weak, I did the laundry today. After the firts bload was done, the washer died on me. It is of no use to have it fixed after 15 years of service, so I have to buy a new one. The money will have to come from the piggy bank labeled "The Great Escape" and means a major setback in my thrive to raise the funds for a move to a safe place in the world. I am not getting a upmarket washer, just a basic one, but still it´ll be about $350. Adding to that the co-pay for Petra´s upcoming hospital stay and the piggy bank is empty [sigh]

Life sucks these days at this end!
