I am interested in contacting Mel but haven't seen him on the forum recently. Has anyone been in contact with him recently?
Thanks!
Rick
Oops, make that RR_Mel He's a prolific poster and always very well to help and all comers. He last posted in late May.
Sadly I can't edit the title...
He is a great poster, hopefully all is well.

I hope Mel's okay. But I've found that the rest of this crew is pretty sharp, too. You might ask your question at large.

Returning to model railroading after 40 years and taking unconscionable liberties with the SP&S, Northern Pacific and Great Northern roads in the '40s and '50s.
crossthedog IDRick Sadly I can't edit the title... I may be remembering incorrectly, but I thought you could edit the title only if you go back to your original post and edit that one. Thanks Matt, didn't know that... Made the change!
Mel is kinda the arduino quru on the forum, especially with the passing of Randy Rinker. He has given me lots of advice in the last couple years and simply wanted to ask his advice on servo cable and crimper purchase decision.
I'm concerned too, don't have to tell you that Melvin is one of the 'good ones' in many, many ways. Regards, Peter
Not necessarily a bad thing, it appears the last time he posted was on May 24, 2022

I note that Mel has included a public email address in his MR profile. melvin.perry@hotmail.com Hope he’s OK. Cheers, the Bear.
I have sent an email and normally get a reply within a couple of hours if emailed during the afternoon. Been 18 hrs, shrug... Hope he is out with his family doing something fun!
Mel turns 85 this month and suffers from severe arthritis. He mentioned in his most recent post back on May 24th that he was not doing well. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he is OK.
