It´s past 5pm in my neck of the woods, so it´s a "Good Evening, Folks!"

Just dropping by before I go into hibernating mode for the rest of the year. There are a couple of things I have to chew on before making up my mind, as things seem to be rapidly moving downhill in my country.

Those of you who know me a little better, know that I live in a small town community southwest of Germany´s second largest city in the north of this country. In those 20 years I have been living in this community, the most serious crimes used to be the odd chicken run over by a car, the theft of a bicycle and every few years, a case of burglary. That has changed completely with the influx of what is called refugees, but is legally nothing else than illegal aliens. We now enjoy soring numbers of robberies, assaults, attempted murders and rape. To top it all, one of the alleged terrorists involved in the 2015 Paris massacre, which left 130 people dead, was arrested just around the corner from my place. He had been hiding there as a "refugee" claiming to be 17, in effect being 23. He is also allegedly one of those responsible for the assault on my wife and me.

I don´t want to live here anylonger and I don´t want to live in this country anylonger. I need to find a way out of here, as the threat to my life has become a real one. I don´t think I´ll have the option of an orderly retreat.

I wish all my friends here a safe entry into a healthy and prosperous year 2017.

God bless you!
