To whom it may concern,
I stopped by the hobby store today and they were selling a new book, 'Bridge and Trestle Handbook' by Paul Mallery. Cost is $22.95 at the store, but maybe less on the internet. I leafed through it for about 20 minutes. It looks very good. I just wanted to pass that along to anyone interested in building model bridges.
I also bought the Three Brothers product 'Rivet Detail Sheet'. For those considering building a large open braced steel structure (e.g. Steel Trestle) this looks like a good product. However, the rivet spacing is correct for HO Scale and wouldn't look correct in N or O Scales. But, very few people would know the difference so you may want to check it out anyway.
Happy Bridge Building. - Ed

I think that is an excellent book. By the way it was first published in the late 1950s and then updated around 1970. I am glad to see it is still available at stores -- you MIGHT be able to pick up an older edition at a swap meet. I bought mine used for $10 I think.
