Micro Sol and Micro Set and weathering

I am preparing to apply decals to some of my Walthers structures, and was wondering, which should I get, Micro-Sol or Micro-Set, or both? I have the Walthers Rolling mill that has some corrugation, but most other structures have flat surfaces. Also, I am assuming that I should apply decals before weathering, right? Anyhow, I got my airbrush adapter that allows me to use my Badger airbrush with my compressor that has a 1/4" fitting. It fits fine, though I have not had a chance yet to try it.

Get both. Micro Set is a wetting agent. Apply it to the surface and slide the decal into it. It will allow you to move the decal around (gently) into the right position. Let it dry and then apply Micro Sol. This softens the decal and lets it snuggle down onto the surface detail. Don't touch the decal while the Micro Sol is working. After it dries, inspect the decal. Any bubbles or silvering can be punctured with a pin or the tip of a #11 blade and another dose of Micro Sol applied. Decals should be applied over a glossy surface. After the decals are dry ( I wait 24Hrs.) the surface can be washed to remove any excess decal solution and then a flat finish can be applied, and then your weathering.
