My locomotive roster is quite modest compared to some, but it keeps the 4x8 Deere Valley & Western Railroad quite busy. The Deere Valley & Western is a freelanced road serving the agricultural region near Stockton, California circa 1960. Formed with assistance of the John Deere Company, it sees a lot of John Deere Equipment on its rails. Though it has no motive power or rolling stock of its own, it has signed lease and trackage rights agreements with the Union Pacific, AT&SF, Western Pacific, Southern Pacific and of course John Deere.
