Atlas FM TrainMaster
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, January 22, 2005 12:02 PM
Hello,

Considering purchasing an HO Atlas TrainMaster loco.

My experience with Atlas (which is a lot) has always been positive, and I presume this would be no different.

Just wondering if anyone had one and what their general thoughts on it are.

Thanks,
Kevin

I got SP in gold series [#ditto] my only gripe is that you can't control the mars light, like on BLI E-7.

I have one. The mechanism is up to the usual fine Atlas standards - it coasts a LONG way! And the sound is awesome as well. Definitely worth the price. I look at it from the point of view that were you to install a DCC sound system in a locomotive, it would cost you over $100 for the decoder, speaker, and other parts, not to mention your install time. So subtract that fromt e loco cost and it becmes a no-brainer.
