You might try Bowser, I bought some Pittman parts from them several years ago.

Pittman is one of the product lines that Bowser had taken over in the past.

If they have any remaining parts I'm sure they will help you.

There's a guy named "SMT" on Youtube whose hobby is fixing/rebuilding Fifties era locomotives he picks up cheap becuse, to use his words, they are "disgusting". You might check out his videos to see what he says about vintage brushes or contact him via e-mail to see what he has to say, it's probaby something he's run into

Searches on Ebay may be helpful. I stumbled on this while looking for something else
