Hello everyone, and welcome to the annual festival of Halloween Photo Fun!

My spooky picture for this year is a train under attack in the swampy bog.

Please join in and post pictures of your trains in a Halloween theme... all in fun.

Last year I set up a small O gauge layout on the driveway for the trick or treaters.  Not sure if I'll set up again this year but here it is.

Kevin -- fun thread!

Mine isn't exactly Halloween, but it is from one of the scarier movies.

While the house roof is still under construction, the rest is nearly finished:

I don't know if you remember that I said I do not like to go into the Boiler Room.  I always get these unexplainable uneasy feelings and even think I see things through my profile vision.  The last time I was down there I felt an ice cold draft.  An ice cold draft is impossible because the room is completely internal in the building and it's always very hot in there.

I have told my brother these experiences and he told me to relax, they will not bother you if you do not bother them.  He was very curious about everything and asked me to take a couple pictures of the Boilers and send them to him.

I was quite horrified sending him the pictures.  That second picture was not like that when I took them.

I will not be going down into the Boiler Room anymore!

Nice boilers. We have two... one coal fired, and the other a new gas fired boiler. When coal was cheaper we uysed that one exclusively, now that gas is cheaper...

That little gas boiler has almost twice the BTU of the large coal fired machine.

There is another old oil fired boiler next to the coal fired boiler, but we have removed all of the fittings so that it cannot be used. By disabling it, we no longer have to pay boiler insurance on it.

What a creative and timely thread.  I too don't have anything to contribute but commend everyone who posted up something. The Bates one is epic!

Dove Creek, Colorado: Officials at the Atomic Energy Commission's Dove Creek Plant denied any connection to a giant, glowing skeletal rat originally said to have escaped from plant property.

"While we ordinarily neither confirm or deny information about what happens at the plant, in this case we wanted to specifically deny any connection between the giant rat skeleton and operations at the plant. All of our rats are, ahem, smaller and we feed them adequately. He didn't come from this plant."

A Walt Disney executive likewise denied any responsibility for the rat roaming the area. The storied film company was said to be filming Ali Baba and the 40 Rats nearby, but like the AEC denied any connection to giant rats.

Looking father afield, it was notable that several such sightings have occurred near the Nevada Test Site, leading researchers to suspect that the rat's origin may have nonethless been nuclear.

Our son Doug was the prankster of the family before his passing.  When I  built his home for my layout I added some activity to his “Bates Motel”.

If you look close enough you can see them through the curtains.

Happy and safe Halloween to everyone.

Off to see the Wizard!

I created these figures from a Model Power unpainted package, some putty and occasional use of a razor saw.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to my annual Halloween event.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Bill: Your halloween themed layout is wonderful, especially the water tower. Congratulations on post #300.

Peter: That picture has great classic B-movie cinema appeal. I love it.

David: Your "Happy Ghost" picture is magnificent.

Chip: I don't like spiders! Thanks for coming by and sharing your picture.

John: Your scene of the Bates Motel and Mansion is a great eye-catcher.

Fiddler: Sharing the same picture is fine with me. I don't like boiler rooms. We don't have many down here, pretty much just in high rises and hospitals.

Mike: That skeletal rat is scary!

Mel: Your Bates Motel scene is also very convincing. A great homage to a scary movie.

Mr. Beasley: The Wizard Of Oz has been a favorite of mine my entire life. Great job on the character conversions.

Guy: How long are your operating sessions? Maybe you should provide snacks!
