How do you replace the horn hook coupler on a Trix freight car with an MT coupler?

What is an "MT" coupler?

I'll guess that it refers to MicroTrainsLine or the former Kadee N scale products.

According to the chart a 1128 universal would work for MiniTrix truck-mounted rolling stock:

Of course, to add confusion, a "horn-hook" is generally regarded as an HO coupler? The "Rapido" coupler used to be the N scale common coupler.

Regards, Ed

If you want HO scale information, there are two articles in MR magazine. The latter explains the details.

February 2005 issue (page 28-30) Easey upgrades improve a Trix HO NYC caboose (Kadee no. 44)

August 2005 issue (page 76-79) Underbody for a UP caboose (Kadee no. 78)

Next is a 40' boxcar with floorboard with zinc pest repaired.
