<p>Mike,</p> <p>I just found this video on Youtube, showing one of the dealer display layouts Marklin sold to the dealers for display in their shop windows. The video shows the splendor of the good old days - depsite being a far cry from the realism achieved with today´s methods and materials.</p> <p>I think those layouts have a character of their own. I sure wish I had the room for building one just like it.</p> <p>Well, here is the video:</p> <p><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/eNzDkWaOgzo" width="425" height="350"></iframe></p> <p>Scenery was simply painted onto the table, using oil paints and sawdust for texturing the "green areas" - simple, but effective!</p> <p>Btw - what´s that green stuff on your benchwork?</p> <p>Edit: I just found the track plan - this layout is about 4 by 7ft.!</p> <p> </p> <p><img src="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrVz7YMw8Hw&feature=youtu.be" alt=" " /></p>
