Mike, I am making good progress planning the layout and I think that layout in the above picture can be made to fit to a 4 by 7 ft. table, using Marklin´s C-Gleis track. Just as an alternative - which Noch plastic scenery base do you have? Maybe I can develop a track plan for it as well. Gives you an option.
