Good Morning!

A bright and beautiful day with temperatures at about 15°C . my day!

Petra decided to display a grim face - too much train action in our apartment. There is this huge (3 by 5 ft.) layout right behind me and now a temporary set-up on the dining table. Fortunately, that Z stuff is reasonably quiet when running, unlike the Bemo locos, who have a distinctive growl when run with a PWM controller. The Marklin loco sounds more like an insect zooming in for the kill.

John - beware of used Marklin Z scale locos. Older ones have that dreadful 3-pole motor in them, which has only two speeds - too fast and way too fast. The 5-pole motor is around for about 8 years now. The Marklin powerpack is also no good, as it does not allow for a smooth control of the speed. I won´t be using it on my layout (or just as a source of power for the switch motors and lights).
After watching your video I think that is going to end up being a very large BRIEFCASE
Big - yes, but large, no! The layout is 2 by 2 ft., so let´s settle on the term suitcase layout .

Now it´s off to running trains ...

Have a good one!
