Athearn detail parts

If you are looking for "factory replacements", the "Walthers catalog" should have them. If you want more "scale" windows, etc. Check out "Cannon" parts. (also in the Walthers cat.). For really good detail, I would replace the entire Athearn cab with a Cannon unit. I did this with an older Athearn switcher, and, believe me, it makes all the difference in the world. Since then, I have outfitted my entire switcher fleet with Cannon cabs, most with interiors too. The cab is the most "looked at" part of the engine as far as I'm concerned, so good detail here is paramount. Also, don't forget to add grab irons, lifting loops, MU hoses, etc. Follow all that up with a good weathering job, and you can't lose. <br /> Todd C.
