Model railroading alive and well
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, January 15, 2005 4:39 PM
I went to a train show in North Dallas today and the place was packed! I think there were at lest a dozen clubs with module layouts operating and at least that many on the local tour scene. I wasn't going to wear my overalls but went ahead and there were more people in overalls than in pants even the feared striped ones. I would say there were lots more kids young ones both interested in Thomas and The Polar Express. So I would say its safe to assume that the model railroad scene in Dallas has a strong heartbeat and a good flush of young blood thanks to Mr. Zemekis and Hanks.

That's great news!

It's only natural when one thinks about it as Dallas is known to be a seat of heavy railroad activity!
